About this album

A compact album for one hundred 4x6 prints, small enough to hold in two hands or leave on a side table. It suits a single trip, a school year, or the early years of one child, the kind of project where the photographs belong together and don't need to sprawl across a bigger book. The padded leatherette cover gives it some weight in the hand, and the brass corners do the same job the corners on an old wallet used to do: take the knocks so the cover doesn't have to.

The bookbound spine lies flat on the table, which matters when you're sliding prints into the pockets one at a time. The pages are photo safe, made without acid, lignin, or PVC. Pioneer has been making albums in California since 1972, and the construction here is the kind we'd want for a stack of prints we'd like to come back to.
